Rosterbook — Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 August 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Rosterbook app and services (“Rosterbook”), provided by Thirteen Twenty Productions LLP (“the Company”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Rosterbook — including the mobile app or the web dashboard at app.rosterbook.in — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Rosterbook is a staff attendance and payroll tool. Employers create an account, set up geofenced work sites, and add employees; employees check in and out from their device, with location (and, optionally, face check) used to confirm presence at a site. Employers on Plus and Business plans may add Managers with limited permissions, and employers on Business plans may also use the web dashboard. Rosterbook computes attendance-based pay information. An individual may also maintain their own portable Rosterbook worker profile and use it with more than one employer; the individual controls their own personal profile information, while each employer controls the employment terms for its own engagement with them. Rosterbook is a tool to assist record-keeping and is not a substitute for professional legal, tax, accounting, or HR advice, and its face-check output is not a certified or forensic-grade identity check.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account, adding staff, or adding Managers, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be of legal working age and have the authority to enter these Terms (and, for employers, the authority to manage your staff’s data).

3. Employer, employee, and Manager responsibilities

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including:

5. Face check and biometric data

Where an employer enables “Require face check,” Rosterbook processes biometric data (a facial photo and a mathematical face embedding) as described in our Privacy Policy. By enabling this feature, the employer represents that it has informed affected employees and obtained any consent required by applicable law before doing so, and agrees to indemnify the Company (see Section 10) for any failure to do so. Face-check results are provided to assist attendance verification; the Company does not warrant that it will detect every attempt at spoofing or impersonation, and this feature should not be relied on as a certified or forensic-grade identity check.

6. Documents and uploads

Employers may upload employee photographs and documents (such as identification or driving-licence copies) for their own record-keeping. The employer represents that it has the right, and any consent required by applicable law, to upload such documents, and is responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of anything it uploads.

7. Privacy

Your use of Rosterbook is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data, including location, documents, and face-check data.

8. Fees and subscriptions

Rosterbook offers optional paid plans (currently Plus and Business) that raise your staff limit and unlock additional features, such as Manager accounts (Plus and Business) and the web dashboard (Business). Paid plans are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, whichever store you subscribed through; pricing, billing frequency, renewal, and cancellation are handled by that store and are subject to its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings before the renewal date. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their own policies — we are not able to issue refunds directly. We use RevenueCat to reconcile your subscription status across stores and apply it to your account.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Rosterbook available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.

10. Disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity

Rosterbook is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. Attendance, payroll, and face-check outputs are provided to assist your own record-keeping and are not a substitute for your own verification, professional advice, or compliance processes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for pay, tax, or employment decisions you make using the app. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from any claim, loss, or liability arising from: (a) information you (or, for an employer, your staff or Managers) submit that is false, inaccurate, or submitted without a consent required by law; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your misuse of the service, including enabling face check or uploading documents without the consents required by law; or (d) your violation of any third party’s rights.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated — including in cases of misuse, fraud, or violation of applicable law — or to protect the security of the service. You may stop using Rosterbook and delete your account at any time.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of New Delhi, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
